Reto Berra's contract with HC Fribourg-Gottéron will expire next spring, but the club has not yet begun discussions with the veteran goaltender about a possible extension. Focused on the start of the championship, Berra too is not particularly in a hurry: "I hope they'll take place during the first international break. That's OK with me. I'd rather put all my energy into the start of the championship".
At the moment, therefore, the future of Berra is open: "I really like it here, but I don't know what the possibilities are for me. As it is, it's important to play as well as I can so that I have as many options as possible when the time comes" the 36-year-old concludes.
