According to La Liberté, a decision regarding Berra's future is expected in November.

As the newspaper reports, Reto Berra has gathered a lot of interest from other clubs in the past weeks, unsurprisingly given that the veteran leads the league in several statistics, including save percentage. Nonetheless, at this stage of the negotiations, there are no signs of separation between HC Fribourg-Gottéron and the goaltender. "We understand each other well. Discussions are positive," assures the 36-year-old.

Another player on an expiring contract in Fribourg is forward Mauro Jörg, who, however, is not a priority for HCFG's management. "My agent made inquiries three weeks ago. He was told to wait." states the 33-year-old to La Liberté. Jörg, who also reveals that "staying is an interesting option", thus can only remain patient and focus on his game.
