Jonas Müller had a difficult last season. Falling out of grace of the Kloten Flyers' new head coach Sean Simpson, he was loaned to the SCL Tigers at the end of January. Now, he will hang up his skates.

In an in-depth interview with Die Südostschweiz the 31-year-old goaltender reveals that he will - in all likelihood - not continue to play next season, even though there had been interest from HC Red Ice: "But then I would have had to move to the Wallis. I did not want that. And I did not hear anything back from them, after I had made them a counter offer. So I guess, my sports career is over. It is not easy for me to accept that, but at some point one has to face reality."

Jonas Müller has appeared in 75 NLA games for HC Davos, EV Zug, HC Ambrì-Piotta, SC Bern, the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and the Kloten Flyers and in 117 NLB games for EHC Chur, SC Langenthal, Young Sprinters HC, EHC Visp and the SCL Tigers. With the latter two, he was able to celebrate the NLB championship title (2011 and 2015). Last season, he posted a 3.01 GAA and a .886 SV% in 17 games for Kloten. (mso)
