Defenseman Colin Fontana has signed his first professional contract with HC Lugano. The 18-year-old, who has played for the Bianconeri's Elite-A during the last three seasons, has inked a three-year deal.

Over the course of the past three years, Fontana has appeared in 71 games for HC Lugano's Elite-A youth team and put up 14 points (two goals, twelve assists). The 18-year-old defender is eligible in Friday's 2015 NHL Entry Draft. He is ranked 88th among European skaters by NHL Central Scouting. (tme)
