The Journal de Jura had already reported at the end of March that Lüthi would join Biel for the upcoming season, despite a valid contract with the Lakers. The 22-year-old defenseman scored three goals and ten assists in 62 games for the Lakers this past season. His contract will run through 2017-18. (mso)

Apart from the signing of Micflikier, EHC Biel also announces the signing of Valentin Lüthi. He will join the Seelanders from the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and has agreed to a two-year contract.
