SC Bern's Timo Helbling, whose contract with the Kloten Flyers for the upcoming season had to be dissolved due to financial reasons, will indeed join EV Zug. He has agreed to a two-year deal.

The 34-year-old defenseman had already played for the Bulls from 2011 to 2013. This season, Helbling scored six goals and 20 assists in 60 games for SC Bern. His contract will run through 2018.

Furthermore, Livio Stadler, who mostly played for their Elite A team this season, will join the first team permanently as of next season. Thus, the defense is with nine players now complete. The last import spot available will thus go to a forward.

In other news, Reto Suri, who has not been part of the national teams roster for the second week of preparation, will definitely not be able to take part in the World Championship. The forward suffered a lumbago in his first practice with the team. (mso)
