EHC Biel's captain Mathieu Tschantré has extended his contract with the Seelanders for two additional seasons. He will stay with them until 2019.

"After having received this offer, it was the easiest decision for me," the 32-year-old forward tells. "I could hardly imagine playing for another team." Tschantré has played for Biel's first team since 2000 and has since then appeared in 721 NLA and NLB games for them. In 2008, he became the team's captain.

Last season, Tschantré put up 25 points (ten goals and 15 assists) in 55 games for the Seelanders.
