As HC Fribourg-Gottéron announces, they have signed Andreï Bykov to a four-year contract extension.

The 28-year-old forward had been issued an offer by the Dragons weeks ago, but took his time considering all options. As Le Matin reported last week, HC Lugano was also interested in the center, but Bykov will now stay with Fribourg until the end of the 2020-21 season.

Bykov is not the only player whose contract will expire after the end of this season: Benjamin Neukom, 26, and Flavio Schmutz, 22, are also due for new deals. As Dubé tells La Liberté (relayed by SwissHabs), he still intends to keep those two players.
