Ebbett recently told the Berner Zeitung that he wanted to stay in Bern. Now, the 34-year-old Canadian and his employer have already found an agreement and Ebbett will stay in Bern for at least another two seasons. He joined the Bears at the beginning of the 2015-16 season and has since then played 51 games for them, putting up 16 goals and 25 assists.

At the same time, the Bears announced that they would not extend Maxime Macenauer's contract. His temporary deal with the Bears expired yesterday and will not be extended. The 27-year-old, who joined the Bears in September, appeared in 14 NLA games and scored one goal and two assists.
