As Kevin Schläpfer tells Ticinonline, he has not heard anything from HC Lugano yet. He is, however, open to talk about his future.

"In recent weeks I haven't talked to any team," the 47-year-old former head coach of EHC Biel says upon request from Ticinonline. "Not with Lugano nor with any other team." Nevertheless, Schläpfer is ready to plan his future: "I'm ready to talk. If they were to contact me from now until spring, I would love to hear a proposal. Next season, I want to return to the NLA."

Recently, rumors have come up that current HC Lugano head coach Doug Shedden will not have a future in the Ticino. In his stead, former ZSC Lions coach Bob Hartley or Kevin Schläpfer were mentioned as possible candidates for the job.
