Benoit Jecker will stay with EHC Biel for one additional season. The defenseman has signed a new contract with the Seelanders that is valid until 2018.

Jecker joined EHC Biel's organization for the 2013-14 season. In the same year, he played his first game for the Seelanders' NLA team. Since then, the 22-year-old has appeared in 184 games for Biel, putting up 17 points (three goals, 14 assists).

This term thus far, Jecker has played 35 games for EHCB and managed to score three assists.
