SC Bern and Martin Plüss will part ways at the end of this season. As the club announces, no agreement could be reached during contract extension talks.

Plüss, who made his NLA debut with EHC Kloten during the 1994-95 season, joined the Bears in 2008 from Frölunda HC of the Swedish Hockey League. Since then, the 39-year-old forward has suited up in 516 NLA games for them, scoring 189 goals and 208 assists.

As the experienced routinier recently told the Blick in an interview in mid-January, however, he does not think about hanging up his skates. On the contrary, he is willing to continue to play, even if it won't be in Switzerland's capital city anymore.
