National League

As Expressen blogger Johan Svensson reports, several sources have confimed to him that Alexander Bergström will likely leave Sweden as of next season. His options? The KHL or the NLA.

The 31-year-old forward has still a valid contract with Karlskrona HK for the 2017-18 season. He has, however, an out clause for the KHL and the NLA. "It is true that he has an out clause in his contract," says his agent Johan Finnström. "We'll see what happens, but nothing is done with any club. He is fully focused on Karlskrona."

According to Svensson, Bergström's main focus might lie on Switzerland, as his agency, 4sports, has its headquarters in Switzerland. One source of his went even as far as saying that he has already a deal in place. However, as Svensson writes, he was not able to verify this. As for Karlskrona, CEO Rolf Lindberg has not heard anything from Bergström, but states that "he is part of our plans for next season".

Alexander Bergström is currently in his fourth consecutive season with KHK and has scored 14 goals and 22 assists in 45 games for them this season thus far.
