According to Expressen's blogger Johan Svensson, based on a reliable source, Swedish defender Henrik Tömmernes has agreed to terms with HC Lugano for next season.

The 26-year-old, whose contract in Frölunda will expire at the end of this term, reportedly had offers from several teams of the Kontinental Hockey League as well as NLA's Genève-Servette HC. However, with Lugano entering the stage, it would have become an easy choice for him: well paid, short distances, good team and a nice place to stay.

As Frölunda HC is currently busy with playoff hockey (quarterfinals vs. Skellefteå), neither Tömmernes' agent Patrik Aronsson nor the club's general manager Fredrik Sjöström wanted to comment this news.

Tömmernes has been playing for Frölunda HC since the beginning of the 2015-16 season and has appeared in 52 SHL games this term thus far, putting up eight goals and 31 assists.
