Contrary to a recent report from Expressen's Johan Svensson about Henrik Tömmernes joining HC Lugano as of next season, the Swede will, according to the Nya Wermlands-Tidningen, move to Geneva.

As the Nya Wermlands-Tidningen writes, based on their own sources, Genève-Servette HC has come out as the winner in the battle for the 26-year-old Swedish defenseman, in which reportedly also HC Lugano and severals teams from the KHL have been involved.

However, as Frölunda HC is still busy with playoff hockey, Tömmernes did not want to comment or confirm this news, too. If it will be Lugano or Geneva in the end; the answer to this question might follow once his team has reached the very end of the season.

Tömmernes has been playing for Frölunda HC since the beginning of the 2015-16 season and has appeared in 55 SHL games this term thus far, recording nine goals and 32 assists.
