As EHC Kloten announces, they have signed HC Fribourg-Gottéron's Dennis Saikkonen as well as EV Zug's Marc Marchon (photo) to one-year contracts. The future of Martin Gerber, on the other hand, is still open.

Saikkonen appeared in 13 regular season games for the Dragons, posting a .871 save percentage. He and Luca Boltshauser will form the new goaltending tandem of Kloten.

Marc Marchon, too, will stay with Kloten for at least one year. The 21-year-old forward joins the team from EV Zug. This past regular season, he scored nine goals and eight assists in 27 games for the EVZ Academy, as well as one goal in twelve games for EV Zug.

As for Martin Gerber, it is not yet clear if he will continue his career elsewhere or if he will decide to start a career in coaching. However, Gerber and Kloten are currently in talks about his future within the organisation. According to the NZZ and the Blick, also the SIHF is showing interest in the know-how of the 42-year-old, and his youth team, the SCL Tigers, reportedly want to integrate him into their organisation.

It thus remains to be seen if Gerber will stay with Kloten in another capacity, or if he will leave the club for something/somewhere else. "It's still completely open," Gerber tells the Blick. "I will practice this summer as always. Then I will decide on my next steps."
