The 35-year-old goaltender returned to Switzerland last summer after nine years in the NHL and will not go back. Biel also informs that they will announce his backup in the upcoming weeks. Moreover, two NLB goaltenders could play in Biel via B-license next season: Simon Rytz (EHC Olten) and Elien Paupe (HC Ajoie).
This season, Hiller appeared in 47 games during the regular season (.917 save percentage) and five games in the playoffs (.924 save percentage).
