Defenseman Adrian Trunz and forward Peter Guggisberg still have valid contracts with HC Ambrì-Piotta for the upcoming season. Nonetheless, as the Corriere del Ticino and Ticinonews writes, the two players might choose to hang up their skates.

Trunz (photo) signed a two-year contract extension with the Biancoblù in January of 2016. Apparently, however, retiring from profession hockey might be an option for the 33-year-old, who has played in Ambrì since the beginning of the 2011-12 season. This past term, Trunz appeared in 42 games for the Biancoblù and managed to score six points (two goals, four assists).

Peter Guggisberg, on the other hand, joined the Biancoblù at the beginning of last season and signed a two-year contract with Ambrì. This past season, the 32-year-old forward played 49 games for HCAP and registered 23 points (seven goals, 16 assists).
