As the ZSC Lions' CEO Peter Zahner tells the Tages-Anzeiger, Sven Leuenberger and Pascal Müller are not the only potential successors of Edgar Salis.

"We have a long list of candidates and have conducted several interviews," said Zahner. "Leuenberger and Müller are two names which have already been mentioned. Yes, we already had talks with both of them. But I would certainly not call someone a front runner. It would limit my scope of action."

The Neue Zürcher Zeitung had reported yesterday that Müller was the front runner for the job but that they could not agree on a deal yet because EHC Kloten supposedly wanted to be compensated for letting him go. As Zahner tells the Tages-Anzeiger today, a financial compensation is definitely not in the plans of the Lions.

In other news, Zahner also confirmed that Hans Wallson and Lars Johansson would definitely coach the Lions for another season. Both have valid contracts with the Lions until the end of the 2017-18 season.
