As Bob Hartley confirms to La Liberté (relayed by SwissHabs), he has received an offer from HC Fribourg-Gottéron, but won't take a decision until the IIHF World Championship is over.

Currently, Hartley is working as head coach of the Latvian national team with which he is preparing for the World Championship in May. For this reason, the 56-year-old is not ready to take a decision about his future before the tournament is over. Moreover, he adds that Gottéron is not the only team with which he is in contact about a future head coaching job.

For Hartley, the job in Fribourg would be a return to Switzerland. In 2011-12 he coached the ZSC Lions and won the Swiss championship before he returned to North America to coach the NHL's Calgary Flames. Since 2016, he has been in charge of the Latvian national team.
