Le Matin reported earlier today that Noreau would no longer figure in their plans and that they had taken an interest in another import defenseman. They also suggested that if Noreau were indeed to leave the Bears, a return to HC Ambrì-Piotta would not be out of question. However, according to Chatelain, the defenseman will stay with the Bears and play the role of a fifth import player in the upcoming season.
In 39 games for SCB this past season, the 29-year-old Canadian recorded five goals and 16 assists.
