With Robbie Earl, Jacob Micflikier, Marc-Antoin Pouliot and Tony Rajala EHC Biel starts with four import players into their preparation for the upcoming season. However, team manager Martin Steinegger says to the newspaper that they could sign another reinforcement for either the defence or offence within next season. "We will analyse what is best for the team, in particular, how our young defence performs," Steinegger says.

Furthermore, Steinegger denies that NHL-Star Mark Streit could suit up for the Seelanders as of next season. Apparently, for the last couple of weeks, there were some rumours regarding Streit circulating among the Tissot Arena. "Do not dream," states Steinegger. "I have absolutely no contact with him or his agent." However, the Journal du Jura makes some anticipations, stating that the signing of Jonas Hiller was a dream too. At first.
