The Tribune de Genève reported back in May that Jooris might join Genève-Servette HC for the upcoming season. However, the forward, who is in possession of a Swiss player's license, now has signed a one-year contract with the Hurricanes.
Carey, on the other hand, was rumored to be on the radar of HC Lugano. The Corriere del Ticino reported at the beginning of May that the Bianconeri were interested in acquiring the 28-year-old center. According to Aaron Ward (TSN), Carey has now signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Rangers.
