Ever since the announcement of Reto Berra's departure last week, HCFG's team manager Christian Dubé has been on the lookout for a replacement. The Swiss goalie market, however, seems to be dried out.

"We've been screening the Swiss market actively, but there is nothing conclusive yet," Dubé tells Le Matin. "We really want to find a top-class goalie." Therefore, the international market has become increasingly relevant to the Canadian. As Dubé reveals to the same source, he would have already found 15 to 20 suitable candidates from abroad.

With Michal Birner, Roman Červenka, Jonas Holøs and Michal Řepík, HC Fribourg-Gottéron already has four imports under contract for next term. "We'll start the season with five foreigners, " Dubé adds. "Injuries are always possible. It will give us more room to maneuver."
