"Pettersson has a hard shot which allows to score goals," team manager Sven Leuenberger says. The World Cup gold medal winner signed a one-year contract which includes an option for one additional year.
For Pettersson this is a return to Switzerland. From 2013 to 2016, he played for HC Lugano. In 140 games for the Bianconeri, he managed to put up 156 points. Last season, the winger suited up for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod and Dinamo Minsk in the KHL. In a total of 43 games for both teams, he scored 13 goals and 17 assists.
