The Journal du Jura (relayed by SwissHabs) reports that the 27-year-old has agreed to step in for GSHC's defenseman Daniel Vukovic, who has to sit out the start of the season due to a five-game suspension. Weisskopf's short-term contract, however, also seems to include an option to extend the collaboration until the end of the season.

The past two seasons, Weisskopf suited up for the SCL Tigers. In a total of 90 games for them, the 27-year-old scored four goals and added twelve assists for 16 points. Last term, he also played four games on loan with SC Langenthal in the National League B (one assists).
