Krueger first played for SC Bern in the 2010-11 season and then left for North America for two years. In a total of 284 games for the Bears, the 30-year-old defenseman recorded 15 goals and 52 assists.

Due to their long list of injured defensemen, SC Bern has decided to acquire Aurélien Marti from SC Langenthal for the time being. The 23-year-old defender, who will play for the Bears via B-license, will definitely suit up in the season opener. However, it is not yet clear how long Marti will stay with the National League team.
