HC Thurgau has signed Niklas Maurenbrecher. The forward joins the Lions from EVZ Academy with immediate effect for the remainder of the season. He has played for EHC Seewen so far this term.

The 22-year-old joined EVZ Academy in 2016 after spending one year playing in the Swedish Division 3. He made his NLB-debut last season with the Academy, playing 46 games (nine points). Due to a long and persistent illness, he suited up for EHC Seewen in the MySports League so far this season, recording five goals and four assists in 21 games.

He will already be eligible to play for HC Thurgau in the team's next game against the HCB Ticino Rockets on February 6.
