Since the beginning of the Swiss League playoffs, Hostettler has been a healthy scratch. The 33-year-old hopes that he will be given the opportunity to hit the ice again before hanging up his skates at the end of the season. Then, Hostettler will not only leave La-Chaux-de-Fonds as a player, he will also leave his job in their marketing department, the same source writes.

Sébastien Hostettler has played 15 seasons in the Swiss League (formerly known as National League B) for EHC Biel, HC La Chaux-de-Fonds, HC Sierre-Anniviers, HC Ajoie, and Red Ice. In the 2008-09 season, he suited up twice for EHC Biel in Switzerland's highest league, the National League A.
