HC Thurgau announced the following arrivals for next season: defensemen Nico Engeler (EHC Kloten, Elite A), Franco Collenberg (HC Ambrì-Piotta), as well as forwards Janik Loosli (SC Bern, Elite A) and Adam Rundqvist (HC La Chaux-de-Fonds). Engeler, Collenberg and Loosli all signed two-year contracts, while Rundqvist, who is in possession of a Swiss players' license, agreed to a one-year deal.

In addition, the Swiss League team confirmed the contract extensions of defensemen Sami El Assaoui and Yannick Hänggi for one more season each, until 2019. Simon Schnyder, on the other hand, has decided to put an end to his career at the age of 31, as Thurgauer Zeitung journalist Ken Vettore reports.

According to Vettore, HCT's Canadian imports, forwards Cam Braes (27) and the 23-year-old Jaedon Descheneau, are still in contract negotiations about a possible contract extension. Also, according to the Thurgauer Zeitung, Adrian Brunner has rejected an offer for a contract extension with HCT and will leave the team.
