The 30-year-old joined HC La Chaux-de-Fonds in November 2017 on a try-out basis. With his performances since then, he seems to have earned himself a contract extension. The former Lausanne HC forward will stay in La Chaux-de-Fonds for another two years - despite offers from other Swiss League teams, as L'Express-L'Impartial reveals in today's edition.

In 22 regular season games for HCC, Augsburger put up a total of ten points (four goals, six assists). In the playoffs, he was the team's second-best scorer with three points (two goals, one assist) in five games.
