After Kloten signed the veteran players Steve Kellenberger and René Back, they have now also signed a couple of young players: 21-year-old defenseman Alain Bircher has signed a one-year contract, just like 18-year-old forward Ian Derungs. The forwards Ramon Knellwolf, 19, Marco Lehmann, 19, and Adrian Wetli, 20, on the other hand, will all stay with EHC Kloten for at least two more seasons.

"Alain Bircher is already in his third season with the pro team and with his calm demeanor, he will contribute a lot to the stabilisation of our defense," team manager Felix Hollenstein says. Hollenstein already worked with Derungs, Knellwolf, Lehmann, and Wetli in Kloten's Elite-juniors: "With their speed I'm sure that they will give us a lot of pleasure next season."
