The 33-year-old has signed a one-year contract with HCC. "Wetzi is a great guy and highly respected in the Seeland," HCC's team manager Loïc Burkhalter says. "He is experienced and invests 100 per cent for his team. His combativeness and determination make him an attacker-warrior."
With EHC Biel there was no room for the veteran forward, as their offense has been reinforced for the upcoming season. Over the course of the past season, Wetzel recorded five goals and eleven assists in 62 games.
