EHC Kloten is still missing an important piece for their team that is supposed to battle for an immediate return to the National League: a starting goalie. According to the Tages-Anzeiger, Pascal Caminada would have loved to return to his youth team, but his request for an early release from his contract, which is valid until 2019, has been denied by SC Bern.

Although Caminada suited up in only four games for the Bears last season, it is out of the question for SCB's team manager Alex Chatelain to let the 31-year-old go. In that case, Chatelain would need to find an adequate substitute, but he cannot see one in a currently dried out market for Swiss goaltenders. If that does not change, Kloten will have to keep looking elsewhere.
