Jeff Campbell had to undergo another surgery. SC Langenthal's team manager Noël Guyz confirms to desktpstories.ch that he will be out for the rest of the year.

Campbell only played twelve games last season due to a recurring knee injury. He had to undergo surgery again a couple of weeks ago and will now definitely be out until the end of 2018. Also, the 37-year-old forward will not retire from professional hockey as of now.

Langenthal wants to play with two import players, as Guyaz tells the same source, so they will likely hire another import player for the time being. Campbell's contract with SCL is still valid until the end of the 2018-19 season.
