The idea behind the collaboration is to lead young talents to Swiss League level gently by giving them the opportunity to play in the First League with EHC Frauenfeld as an intermediate step in their development. Therefore, players from HC Thurgau's Elite-A, the HCT Young Lions, and also young players from their Swiss League roster are supposed to suit up for EHC Frauenfeld.

As a first player, goaltender Tim Bertsche will be loaned to EHC Frauenfeld. The 19-year-old Bertsche backed up HCT's starting goalie Janick Schwendener last season and also minded the net of their Elite-A.

Moreover, HC Thurgau announces that they have signed the 18-year-old Austrian Mica Moosmann to a professional contract. He will suit up in the Elite-B and in the First League, and maybe also in the Swiss League. Last season, the forward with a Swiss player's license, recorded 77 points (26 goals) in 49 games with Thurgau's Elite-B.
