After a loss of CHF 1,1 million in the 2016-17 season, Kloten was able to have a positive fiscal year despite being relegated. As of their target date, April 30 2018, the club posted an equity of CHF 900,000, which is higher than the year prior.
The administrative board also sees some positive sides to the relegation. They are surprised by the composure shown by the club's environment and feel confident that EHC Kloten will soon be back in the National League.
