The Swiss League club from Winterthur has extended the contracts of six players for one more year through to the 2019-20 season.

Among the players that have agreed on a new one-year deal are goaltender Tim Guggisberg, defensemen Mike Küng, Pascal Blaser, Samuele Pozzorini, Uinter Guerra, as well as forward Martin Alihodzic. All six players joined EHC Winterthur from other teams in summer this year.

Tim Guggisberg (ex-Rochester Monarchs/NCDC), 21, has appeared in 16 games this season so far, posting a .906 save percentage. The 24-year-old forward Martin Alihodzic (ex-EHC Visp) has managed to score two goals and six assists since season start.

Samuele Pozzorini (ex-EHC Bülach), 22, and Uinter Guerra (ex-EHC Basel), 28, have both suited up in 24 games for EHCW this term thus far, scoring three and two points, respectively. The 23-year-old Mike Küng (ex-HC Thurgau) has recorded four assists in 18 games, while his 21-year-old teammate Pascal Blaser (ex-HC Davos/HCT) has put up one assist in eleven games since season start.
