Janick Schwendener and Nicola Aeberhard both have extended their contracts and will remain Lions.

Janick Schwendener: two more seasons

Schwendener, 26, is in his second year with HC Thurgau. He has already played for them on loan before that when he was with the SC Rapperswil-Jona and also when under contract with HC Davos. Other than the already mentioned teams, the netminder has stopped pucks for SC Bern, EHC Kloten and Genève-Servette HC so far in his career. 

Through 20 games, Schwendener allowed 2.36 goals on average and posts a .909 save percentage.

23-year-old Aeberhard is also in his second season with the Lions. However, the first one was in 2015-16. Prior to that, he was mostly engaged in EHC Kloten's organization. After his first round with Thurgau, the netminder went on to play for Martigny Red Ice, HC UniveRSIté Neuchâtel and also made one game for HC La Chaux-de-Fonds.

In nine appearances so far this season, Aeberhard has recorded a .912 save percentage and a 2.45 goals against average.
