HC La Chaux-de-Fonds has announced three contract extensions. Defenceman Patrick Zubler and Kevin Kühni will remain with the Hornets for two more seasons, the same goes for forward Karim Bouchareb.

For 27-year-old Zubler, it will be seasons seven and eight with HCC. He joined them in 2013 after mainly playing in EV Zug's organization, appearing in 48 National League games. "Zubi plays a physical game. With HCC, he has adapted to the city and its inhabitants. He is also having a good season at the moment", team manager Loïc Burkhalter comments on the defenceman's extension.

26-year-old Kevin Kühni is in his first season with HCC. He has played for several Swiss League-teams and also suited up 29 times for HC Fribourg-Gottéron last year. "Kevin is quickly getting used to the structures of the system. He provides the defensive stability the team needs", Burkhalter mentions.

Karim Bouchareb, at 17 years old the youngest of the three, has only made two Swiss League games for the Hornets so far. He is mainly engaged with either EHC Biel's or HCC's Elite Juniors and went through the latter's youth department. Burkhalter: "Karim is a promising player who is part of the U18 Swiss national team."
