After the team's third loss in a row in the playoff quarterfinal series against SC Langenthal tonight (6-0 loss), the club announced that Rötheli has been put on leave of absence with immediate effect and that more information will follow in the course of Saturday.

EHC Kloten finished their first Swiss League regular season since relegation in fifth place and is currently playing SC Langenthal in the playoff quarterfinals. Langenthal leads the series 3-1 thanks to a three-game winning streak.
