Kevin Schläpfer has found a new job: as of May, the 49-year-old will officially begin his work as team manager, a position which will also see him being responsible for the entire junior team. He will be assisted by Marc Eichmann. Eichmann, 38, will retain the role of goaltending coach.

From 2006 to 2013, Schläpfer served as EHC Biel's team manger and was part of the team which managed to be promoted to the National League in 2008. In 2010, he also became the head coach of the team until November 2017, when he was relieved from his duties. After that, he coached EHC Kloten for almost the entire 2017-18 season. He was eventually fired after losing the playout final series against HC Ambrì-Piotta.

Noël Guyaz will officially leave the club. Guyaz, 46, was the club's team manager and assistant coach since the 2014-15 season. In November of last year, however, he took a break and was replaced by Marc Eichmann ad-interim.
