According to the Tages-Anzeiger, Hayes has signed a one-year extension, while Backman will stay for another two seasons.

Victor Backman remains with the GCK Lions.

That the 27-year-old Swede has decided to stay with the GCK Lions is also interesting for the ZSC Lions: In addition to 23 games for GCK (34 points), Backman also suited up in 16 games for ZSC this season, in which he put up eleven points (four goals) and presented a valid alternative for the Lions.

In Mid-January it did not seem like the Swede would stay in Küsnacht, as he had drawn attention from other teams in Switzerland and also in Sweden with his performances.

Also Ryan Hayes remains with GCK for at least another season. The 29-year-old American, who scored his first goal for the ZSC Lions in Thursday's game against Rapperswil, appeared in 43 games for the GCK Lions this season, in which he scored 18 goals and added 27 assists for a total of 45 points.
