Roger Hansson has worked for Rögle BK's organization as general manager, as an assistant coach and, albeit shortly, as a head coach on different levels from 2005 to 2019.

"He is someone that can develop players which is why he is the ideal person for this position," team manager Reto Kläy states. Hansson will be responsible for the Swiss League team (as their head coach), the Elite A team and the Novizen Elite team (as Head of Development). He has signed a two-year contract.

The Swede is a former hockey player and has won World Championship and one Olympic gold medal. He also won the SHL championship twice with Malmö IF.
