As SIHF's League director Denis Vaucher explained to Watson's Klaus Zaugg today, SC Langenthal's arena, the "Schoren", does not meet the National League's requirements and could also not be made compliant through infrastructural adjustments during the upcoming summer break.
Therefore, and since SC Langenthal has neither plans to move to another arena nor the financial and sporting capabilites, should they indeed become Swiss League Champion, the League Qualification series against the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers or HC Davos might still be played but SCL would remain in the Swiss League even if they should win the series.
