Swiss League

The 52-year-old Swede has signed a two-year contract until the 2020-21 season with the Swiss League club.

Per Hånberg recently won the Swiss League championship with SC Langenthal, defeating EHC Kloten in the playoffs quarterfinal series. Before joining SC Langenthal, Hånberg worked as head coach in various Swedish leagues. In the 2014-15 season he was promoted to the highest Swedish league (SHL) with Karlskrona HK.

Hånberg is described as a coach with a strong personality who wants to take his team one step further every day with his passion for ice hockey. EHC Kloten's team manager Felix Hollenstein on Hånberg's appointment: "We are happy to have brought Per Hånberg to Kloten. He is a man with a lot of experience and competence. Especially last season he proved that he has the ability to get the most out of a team. We are looking forward to working together".

The contract with Waltteri Immonen, assistant coach for this season, will be terminated by mutual agreement, while Hånberg's new assistant will be determined in the next few weeks.
