With that, SC Langenthal will also not be able to be promoted to the National League until 2023.

Langenthal would have been eligible to play for the League Qualification this season, as they won the Swiss League. However, due to their infrastructure, they would not have been allowed to enter the National League if they had won the series against the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers.

SCL then decided to not play the League Qualification, something which had not been done before. The gap in regulations will be taken care of before the start of the next season.
