Swiss League

The two defensemen have both renewed their contract for one more year with the newly-promoted Swiss League club.

Maxime Montandon is back in the Swiss League.

In the last three years, Eliott Meyrat has played for two seasons with HC Sierre, intercalated by one season in Morges. With 28 points (15 goals) in 43 games in the MySports League, he was second among defensemen in Sierre, only behind Maxime Montandon. His 15 goals were the most by any defenseman this year in the league.

In 2018, Maxime Montandon signed a one-year contract plus option with Genève-Servette HC and was loaned to the Valaisan club. Before joining HC Sierre, the big defenseman played three seasons in the Swiss League and one season in the National League with HC Fribourg-Gottéron. Montandon, 25, led the league in points (35) and assists (21) among defensemen.
