The 38-year-old signed a two-year contract as an assistant coach with the Swiss League team EVZ Academy.

The EVZ Academy has found the assistant to Roger Hansson.

The former forward retired in 2013, after 13 seasons in the National League and started coaching the EHC Seewen in a minor league. From 2016 to 2018 he worked for the federation as an assistant coach of the U20 and U19 Swiss national team. For the latter he held the position of head coach for the 2017-18 season.

"Corsin has many years of experience as a player and as a coach for professional and junior players, and thus has the best prerequisites," says team manager Reto Kläy with conviction.

As a player, Camichel suited up for HC Davos, EV Zug, SC Bern, and HC Ambrì-Piotta, for a total of 577 National League games, in which he scored 73 goals and put up 109 assists.
