Swiss League

The experienced coach, who thus returns to the Swiss League for the upcoming season, will be assisted by Sébastien Reuille.

New coach in Biasca: Alex Reinhard

Reinhard has been hired by HC Ambrì-Piotta team manager Paolo Duca in agreement with the other teams involved with the HCB Ticino Rockets, namely HC Lugano and HC Davos. The 45-year-old is replacing Jan Cadieux, who left the Rockets for Genève-Servette HC. He was last employed by HC La Chaux-de-Fonds, being let go during his fourth season as their head coach in November 2017.

Prior to his stint with the Bees, Reinhard spent time as assistant and head coach of the SCL Tigers, coached HC Fribourg-Gottéron's U20-juniors, had one season with EHC Salzburg in Austria and, at the start of his coaching career, worked for EHC Biel. From 2003 to 2013, he also was assistant coach for Swiss junior national teams.

Behind the bench, Reinhard will be assisted by Sébastien Reuille. The former forward, who will also continue to hold the position of team manager of the club, was appointed as the new assistant coach of the Rockets by his former club, HC Lugano. For Reuille, who retired at the end of the 2017-18 season, it will be the first coaching experience.
